Papaw always had a ton of change in his pocket, when I was a little girl he used to tell me reach both of your hands into my pocket and whatever change you can get you can keep . I loved doing that, that was our thing we did. I still to this day have some of the change in a bank. I loved him so much and miss him very much. I know he is at peace. He will forever be in my heart and on my mind. I love you Papaw.

When Bruce & I were married in 1966 my dad cried like a baby. I can still hear him sobbing. It actually surprised me because I never expected that from him. Later at the reception we went outside & he had a new car waiting for us (not paid for)
That was a shock & then I cried like a baby. It was a very happy day. My dad left MI. when I was 10 but he never left us. Larry, myself & even mom were the most important things in his life & he always worried about us like all caring parents do.
When Tony & I returned from Germany mom & dad were waiting as we got off the plane. They had never seen him & he was almost a year old & dad put out his arms & Tony went right to him.
